Kennedy Agyapong, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, has refuted claims of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) losing its grip on the Ashanti Region, asserting its enduring popularity.
He cited the warm reception of NPP’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, during his recent visit to the region as evidence.
Speaking to traders at Kejetia Market, Agyapong urged Ashanti Region residents to overwhelmingly support Dr. Bawumia, highlighting NPP’s commitment to Ghana’s progress.
He underscored the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government’s achievements, particularly the successful implementation of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy.
Ken Agyapong, a seasoned businessman and politician, cautioned against considering the National Democratic Congress (NDC) as an alternative, branding them as “dangerous.”
He advised voters to scrutinize the NDC’s track record and not fall for empty promises.
Drawing from his experience in both business and politics, Agyapong emphasized the economic strides made under the current government, contrasting it with the NDC’s past.
He urged voters to remember that even developed nations face economic challenges, urging them not to be swayed by deceptive narratives.
Ken Agyapong urged solidarity in supporting Dr. Bawumia’s candidacy, citing the transformative policies enacted under the current administration.
