Story Highlights

  • He encourages couples facing irreconcilable differences to part ways amicably
  • Yul suggests that if necessary, individuals should be open to multiple marriages

In an interview, actor Yul Edochie shared insights on handling unsuccessful marriages, advocating for a practical approach.

He stressed that marriage isn’t obligatory and encouraged couples facing irreconcilable differences to separate amicably.

Yul, known for his controversial marriage to Judy Austin while still wed to May Edochie, suggested embracing multiple marriages if needed.

He emphasized that marriage shouldn’t be seen as an absolute commitment and highlighted the importance of recognizing when it’s not working and gracefully exiting the union.

In his words, “Marriage isn’t a decree. If it’s not working, walk away. Respectfully. No need for unnecessary pain. If you find someone else you want to marry, go ahead. And if it doesn’t work out again, move on. You can marry multiple times. Everyone’s happiness is different, and don’t let anyone dictate what’s best for you. Find what works for you. And if you’ve chosen not to marry in this lifetime, then don’t. Prioritize your happiness.”
