Tuchel Out Of Running For Man Utd Job, Focus Shifts To Other Candidates

Thomas Tuchel has surprisingly withdrawn himself from consideration for the Manchester United manager position.

The German coach, recently departed from Bayern Munich, reportedly met with United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe but ultimately decided to take a break from management.

This news leaves Manchester United with a wider pool of potential candidates to explore. Names like Mauricio Pochettino (ex-Tottenham and Chelsea), Brentford’s Thomas Frank, and Brighton’s Graham Potter remain in contention.

The possibility of England manager Gareth Southgate joining United has also been a topic of discussion. While Southgate attended a social gathering with a prominent United figure, his focus for now remains with the national team and their Euro 2024 campaign.

Additionally, his contract with the FA extends until the end of the year, making a swift transition unlikely.

Manchester United’s managerial search continues, with several options still on the table. It will be interesting to see who emerges as the frontrunner in the coming weeks.
