Solomon Amoako, a sales officer at E-NAT Mineral Water, has been sentenced to six months of hard labor by the Tarkwa District Magistrate’s Court Two for stealing GH¢2,450 from his employer.
Amoako, also known as Sky, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing.
According to the prosecution, Amoako and two colleagues, Kwabena Asare and Kofi Amoah, were sent to sell sachet water in Esuaso, but Amoako kept the proceeds from the sale.
When his colleagues waited for him in the truck, he disappeared with the money.
Asare and Amoah searched for Amoako, eventually finding him in Twifo Himan with the help of a community police officer.
Amoako was arrested and handed over to the police, leading to his conviction and sentencing.
