Former President John Dramani Mahama criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for overseeing what he described as the most dismal state of roads in Ghana’s history.
Addressing attendees at an event in Hamile, Upper West region, Mahama highlighted the neglect of major roads under the Nana Addo government, contradicting claims of unprecedented road improvement.
Mahama lamented the deteriorating condition of crucial roads, particularly in the northern regions, emphasizing the significance of routes like the one leading to Techiman, vital for regional trade.
He pointed out the neglect of maintenance and the alarming state of roads such as Wa-Sawla, Bole-Bamboi, and Bamboi Techiman.
Accusing the government of prioritizing propaganda over developmental needs, Mahama urged Ghanaians to reject the NPP in the upcoming December elections.
He framed the election as a crucial moment to steer Ghana away from what he perceives as mismanagement under the Nana Addo-Bawumia administration.
