Eyewitnesses revealed that the fracas ensued when supporters of the ruling NPP and the opposition NDC clashed over the positioning of residents in the queue during the ongoing voter ID card transfer and replacement exercise.

The dispute allegedly erupted around 4:00 am when disagreements arose concerning chair allocations for queueing. Mr. Koomson purportedly arrived at the registration center approximately 45 minutes after the altercation commenced.

Subsequently, two individuals have been apprehended by the police in connection with the stabbing incident, though their identities have not been disclosed.
