Reject Mahama for Lack of Accountability – Bawumia Urges Voters

In a bid to sway voters ahead of the December 7 polls, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has made a fervent call for Ghanaians to dismiss John Dramani Mahama, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, citing concerns over accountability.

Addressing a gathering of clergy in the Northern Region, Dr. Bawumia asserted his candidacy as the optimal choice for steering Ghana’s development trajectory while ensuring transparency in governance.

He emphasized that electing him would provide a guarantee of sustained accountability, contrasting this with what he portrayed as a potential shortfall in Mahama’s accountability due to a speculated single term agenda.

Highlighting the importance of an eight-year term for impactful governance, Dr. Bawumia outlined his commitment to diligent service in the initial four years, aiming to merit reelection based on delivered promises.

Conversely, he portrayed Mahama’s purported four-year term as indicative of a lack of incentive for sustained accountability, suggesting that the former president might retreat from public engagement after his term concludes.

Dr. Bawumia’s appeal to voters underscores a narrative of continuity, accountability, and long-term vision, positioning himself as the steward of Ghana’s progress while casting doubt on Mahama’s commitment to ongoing responsiveness and transparency in leadership.
