A severe rainstorm on Wednesday caused significant damage to Adinkrakrom M/A Basic School near Agogo, ripping off the roofs of several classrooms.
According to Sikanya Justice, Assemblyman of the Magyeda electoral area, the storm scattered roofing sheets across the school’s compound, with some still hanging from the structures.
“The roofing sheets were scattered all over the school’s compound, and some were even hanging from the structures,” Sikanya Justice told Adom News.
Nyezie Dery Michael, Headmaster of Adinkrakrom M/A Basic School, confirmed that the incident occurred after school hours. He has appealed to authorities and philanthropists to provide assistance to repair the damaged classrooms.
