Five students from Apam Senior High School (SHS) situated in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region are presently under arrest at the Apam District Police Command following accusations of assaulting their peers during a brawl on campus over the past weekend.
Reports indicate that one of the victims, who narrowly escaped severe eye damage, is currently receiving medical attention at St. Luke’s Catholic Hospital in Apam.
The injuries sustained include a deep laceration behind the eye.
Currently, the suspects, along with representatives from the Gomoa West Education Directorate and school authorities from Apam SHS, are cooperating with ongoing investigations at the Police station.
In the meantime, relatives of the accused students are also present at the Apam District Police Commander’s office, seeking bail for their kin.
