England manager Gareth Southgate insists his contract situation, nearing its end before the Euros, is not a distraction.
His primary focus, he says, is delivering a successful tournament for the Three Lions.
Southgate, who contemplated leaving after the World Cup defeat, wants to lead England to their first major trophy since 1966.
He downplays links to the Manchester United job, emphasizing his commitment to Euro 2024.
“There will always be speculation,” Southgate acknowledges. “But this is a brilliant opportunity, and my focus is on surpassing our Euros 2021 performance.”
Southgate also discussed managing expectations, player selection, Jude Bellingham’s role, and his media responsibilities in a separate interview with BBC Sport.
