Bawumia cuts sod for Gambaga Sports Complex Project to Begin

Vice President and NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, today cut the sod for the construction of a state-of-the-art sports complex in Gambaga, amidst excitement from the local community.

The project, funded by Ghana Gas, aims to provide modern sports facilities for the youth of Gambaga and its environs, as well as serve as a social hub for the entire community. Speaking at the sod-cutting ceremony, attended by scores of enthusiastic youth, Dr. Bawumia emphasized the importance of the project in showcasing the talents of local youth and providing a decent playing ground for teams in the area.

This development comes just months after Dr. Bawumia commissioned the Naa Sheriga Sports Complex in Nalerigu, which he personally built for the community.

The contractor, Wembley Sports, has pledged to complete the project within five months, which will feature a 1000-seater stand, VIP area, washrooms, changing rooms, office complexes, and other facilities.

Dr. Bawumia said, “The Gambaga Sports Complex, when completed, will particularly help the youth to showcase their talents in sports, and also offer teams around a decent playing ground.”
