Only God Can Aid My Reign- Otumfuo

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II says he relies on prayer and the hand of God to manoeuvre his way through the vast Kingdom He {God} has bestowed and entrusted into his care.

As such he is very appreciative of clergymen whose spiritual support has kept him going for the past 25 years of his reign.

His belief that the arm of men cannot be trusted, keeps him conscious to seek the favour of God through His representatives on earth- the clergymen.

“I thank all my clergymen. They have all been supportive. This means only prayer and God can aid me in my reign. I don’t depend on men. I don’t believe my help comes from men but God. I plead with the clergy to help me with prayers.”

These prayers, he said, have unleashed the grace to be firm, bold and honest in his dealings as the head of the Asante Kingdom.

“No one can say he/she has bribed me to judge in his favour. I say this to the glory of God so that he will have my back so I continue in what I am doing. All I want is to see development, boldness, glory, wisdom and determination.”

Pledging to his commitment to the development of Asanteman and Ghana, Otumfuo called for unity and synergy to make it possible.

“Let’s come together for the prosperity of Ghana and Asanteman.”
