A suspected armed robber was killed by a mob in Adomanu, Bantama Constituency, on March 12th, 2024.
The man, believed to be in his late thirties, allegedly attempted a robbery with a handgun but fled after failing to fire any shots. The fleeing suspect was chased down by the angered mob and beaten to death.
According to a police statement, officers arrived at the scene near the Adomanu Pentecost Church to find the body of the unidentified man. An empty pistol holster was found next to the body, but the weapon itself was missing.
Police are investigating the incident and searching for the missing handgun. The body of the deceased has been transported to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for autopsy.
