Ghanaian legend Asamoah Gyan believes West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus should be the centerpiece of the Black Stars national team.

Gyan, impressed by Kudus’ performances for both club and country, thinks the team’s strategy should revolve around the versatile midfielder.

“It’s obvious,” said Gyan when asked who should lead the Black Stars. “Kudus is the only Ghanaian player currently flourishing in Europe, especially the Premier League.”

Since his debut in 2019, Kudus has become a fan favorite for Ghana, contributing 9 goals in 26 appearances. Gyan emphasized Kudus’ European success, urging the national team to capitalize on his talent.

“We need to support him,” said Gyan. “In my time, we had many great players, and eventually, it was my turn. Now, it’s Mohammed Kudus’ turn.”

Kudus has thrived in his first season with West Ham after joining from Ajax. He boasts an impressive record of 12 goals and 5 assists in 36 games this season.
