The Global Patriots Germany, the diaspora wing of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has extended heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on his election as the party’s flagbearer.

In a statement, the group noted that the outcome of the primaries demonstrates the confidence that the party’s membership has placed in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, competence, and vision.

“His victory also reflects the party’s readiness to consolidate its achievements and strategically position itself for the future,” the statement added.

The diaspora wing further praised the NPP for the successful conduct of the 2026 presidential primaries.

“Global Patriots Germany commends the New Patriotic Party for organizing a competitive yet orderly internal democratic process that has strengthened party unity. With the party now focused and determined, the priority must shift to building a strong, disciplined, and capable team that can tackle national challenges and earn the renewed confidence of the Ghanaian electorate,” the statement said.
