Police in the Bono Region have launched an investigation into a tragic domestic incident that led to the death of 30-year-old Esther David following a confrontation with her husband, Abraham.
Preliminary reports indicate that the dispute began after Esther asked to use a mobile phone, which Abraham allegedly refused to allow.
The disagreement reportedly escalated into a struggle during which Esther lost consciousness. She was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the altercation.
Family sources suggest the couple had a history of domestic conflict, with neighbours recalling earlier episodes of tension in their household.
The situation is further complicated by information that Esther had recently undergone surgery, possibly leaving her more vulnerable during the incident.
Police confirm that the husband is assisting with the investigation, while Esther’s body has been placed in the morgue for autopsy.
