The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that all basic schools across the country will observe a mid-term break from Friday, October 31, to Monday, November 3, 2025.
According to GES Public Relations Officer Daniel Fenyi, classes will be suspended for both teachers and students on these days, as already scheduled in the academic calendar.
“Basic schools will, for the first time, have a mid-term break on Friday, October 31, and Monday, November 3, as indicated in the academic calendar,” the statement noted.
GES said the short break is intended to provide teachers and pupils with time to rest and recharge for the remainder of the term.
The announcement applies to all public and private basic schools operating under the Ghana Education Service.
