AfroFuture Ghana 2025, A Celebration of African Music, Culture, and Innovation

Culture Management Group (CMG) has revealed that AfroFuture Ghana 2025 will be held on December 28 and 29 at El-Wak Stadium, promising a vibrant celebration of African culture, powered by Afreximbank and Martell.

Headlining this year’s festival is Afrobeats sensation Asake, joined by South African duo TxC, Ghanaian star Moliy, rap powerhouse King Paluta, and Afrobeat innovator Mavo.

The event will also showcase a dynamic DJ lineup, featuring DJ Obi & Obi’s House, ADDJ, DJ Loft, and the energetic duo K-Dawg & EZPass, who will deliver a diverse mix of sounds to the AfroFuture stage.

The 2025 edition, themed “African Nostalgia,” highlights the shared heritage connecting Africans across generations and borders through music, fashion, art, food, and community. The festival celebrates enduring traditions while envisioning the African future.

“African Nostalgia is the heartbeat of AfroFuture 2025. It’s a celebration of what shaped us yesterday and the fuel for building the African Dream of tomorrow,” said Abdul Karim Abdullah, CEO and Co-Founder of CMG.

Beyond the two-day festival, AfroFuture 2025 includes a week of cultural programming across Accra, blending creativity, entertainment, and community experiences:

  • Battle of Jollof Basketball Game – December 27, Bukom Arena
    Celebrity basketball event in partnership with the Basketball Africa League, combining sports, music, and culture.
  • Fashion Night Out – December 30, Nubuke Museum
    Day-to-night showcase of African design with runway shows, interactive installations, panel discussions, and live performances.
  • New Year’s Eve Extravaganza with PVO – December 31, La Palm
    AfroFuture’s 8th annual NYE party featuring music, food, fashion, and high-energy entertainment, presented by Positive Vibes Only (PVO).
  • Afro Expo – December 18–31, various Accra locations
    Month-long celebration of African creativity and innovation, including masterclasses, wellness sessions, book talks, film screenings, and networking opportunities. Afro Expo connects culture with commerce and spotlights Africa’s creative leaders.
