World Food Forum Spotlights Youth in African Food Security

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations recently hosted its annual World Food Forum in Rome, Italy.

During the African Youth Roundtable session, Anthony Aidoo, Chairperson of the World Food Forum Ghana, highlighted that while Africa’s food security challenges are varied, many share common roots across the continent.

He stressed that young people are key drivers of change in the transformation of Africa’s and Ghana’s food systems.

Aidoo also outlined the initiatives being led by World Food Forum Ghana to address these challenges, including a recent Fisheries and Livestock Dialogue held in Ho, aimed at tackling sector-specific issues and promoting sustainable food practices.
