Sir Obama Pokuase and Fante Comedy Granted Bail

Social media influencer and New Patriotic Party (NPP) activist Daniel Adomako, popularly known as Sir Obama Pokuase, and TikTok creator Prince Ofori, also known as Fante Comedy, were granted bail on Wednesday by an Accra Circuit Court.
Despite the court’s decision, both men remained in police custody overnight after failing to meet the bail conditions.
Fante Comedy’s bail was set at GH¢100,000 with three sureties, two of whom must be gainfully employed. He is also required to surrender his passport to the police until further notice from the court.
Sir Obama Pokuase was granted bail of GH¢50,000 with three sureties, including two salaried workers. At least one of them must be a government employee earning a minimum of GH¢3,000 per month.
His arrest, which took place on Wednesday, August 13, was part of an ongoing intelligence-led security operation targeting the unlawful possession and public display of high-grade firearms.
According to the Ghana Police Service, he is currently assisting in investigations concerning videos and images circulating on social media that depict individuals handling sophisticated weapons.
The operation, carried out in coordination with other security agencies, aims to crack down on illegal arms possession. Authorities have already recovered a substantial cache of illegal weapons and ammunition as part of the effort.
