The fourth edition of the highly anticipated LCB Corporate Games 2025 officially began on Saturday, August 2, at the Nii Adjei Krakue II Sports Complex in Tema New Town. The tournament, organized by LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, brings together corporate professionals for a 10-week celebration of teamwork, networking, and friendly competition.
This year’s games feature 16 corporate teams split across two zones—Tema and Accra—with eight teams representing each. In Tema, notable participants include Wilmar Africa Ghana Ltd, Dock Labour Company, and GPHA Fire Department, the reigning champions. The Accra zone boasts teams such as LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, GIFF, GUTA, and Aviance.
The opening match between LCB Worldwide Ghana and GIFF thrilled fans and set the tone for what promises to be an exciting tournament. Spectators were treated to high-energy performances, with teams showcasing skill and spirit.
The tournament champion will take home a GH₵20,000 cash prize and a trophy, while the 1st and 2nd runners-up will receive GH₵10,000 and GH₵5,000, respectively. Individual awards such as Top Scorer and Best Goalkeeper will also be presented.
Beyond the football action, the LCB Corporate Games serve as a platform for industry-wide networking, team-building, and cross-sector collaboration. Companies are also using the event to boost brand visibility, promote a healthy work culture, and highlight their community engagement efforts.
The event includes team-building activities and staff bonding initiatives, making it a standout entry on the corporate calendar.
LCB Worldwide Ghana Ltd, the event organizer, plays a significant role in Ghana’s public health and safety sector. Contracted by the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service, LCB manages disinfection services for imports and exports at national entry points.
The company was instrumental during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading disinfection campaigns in markets, schools, and hospitals. LCB also supports secondary schools with free disinfection against bedbug infestations and has partnered with GUTA to sanitize public areas, contributing to disease prevention.
As the tournament unfolds, the big question remains: Can the GPHA Fire Department defend their crown, or will a new champion rise? One thing is clear—the LCB Corporate Games 2025 is not just about football; it’s about connection, purpose, and corporate unity.
