The Queen Mother of Akyem Boadua in the Denkyembour District, Obaapanin Akua Bosompemaa Kyeraa, has called for peace and increased security ahead of the upcoming Akwatia by-election in the Eastern Region.

In an interview, she emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration between the community and security agencies to ensure a free, fair, and transparent election process.

She highlighted that safeguarding peace is essential to protecting Ghana’s democratic gains and supporting national development.

“As we head into the by-election, I urge all parties to prioritize peace and unity. Only through collective effort can we guarantee a smooth and credible electoral outcome,” she stated.
