Sixteen members of the Saviour Church of Ghana who died in a tragic road accident on the Atwedie stretch of the Kumasi-Accra highway have been laid to rest in a mass burial held at Obogu in the Asante Akyem North Municipality.

The fatal crash occurred on Monday, July 28, around 2:30 p.m., as the victims were returning from the Church’s annual event in the Eastern Region.

Eyewitnesses reported that the accident resulted from a head-on collision between a vehicle carrying the church members and an oncoming fuel tanker.

In a deeply emotional ceremony, members of the Obogu community and the Saviour Church came together to inter the victims in a single, communal grave, a powerful symbol of their unity both in life and in death.

The incident has left the community and Church devastated, with families and friends mourning the sudden and painful loss of their loved ones.
