President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Dr. Paa Kwesi Baidoo as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi, following the dismissal of Prof. Otchere Addai-Mensah.

The nomination was officially confirmed in a statement issued on April 30, 2025, and signed by Callistus Mahama, the President’s Secretary. The letter also instructed the regularization of Dr. Baidoo’s appointment under the Ghana Health Service and Teaching Hospitals Act, 1996 (Act 525), as amended.
