Authorities at the Juaboso District Assembly in the Western North Region have confirmed the disappearance of several registered items from the official residence of the District Chief Executive (DCE) following a recent inspection.

A report from the assembly’s HR, Christiana Boateng, revealed that items like mattresses, televisions, tables, chairs, cooking utensils, and other valuables are either missing or damaged. In August 2024, the former DCE, Godfred Kwabena Adjei Asante, handed over these assets along with a report detailing the items in use at the residence. However, during a recent inspection, many registered assets were found missing, while others were discovered in poor condition.

This has raised concerns about the management and accountability of public property. Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the missing and damaged items and ensure proper handling of state assets.
