Farmer Dies After Bee Attack in Ashanti Region

A 56-year-old farmer, Kwasi Adutwum, has tragically died following an attack by a swarm of bees in the Nkwasiatan farming community in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, December 10, when Adutwum went to his farmland but failed to return after several hours. Concerned family members and residents began searching for him after he did not return home.

Alexander Kwasi Yeboah, the Assemblyman for the Nkwasiatan electoral area, recounted the discovery of the body. “When we went to search for him, we found his lifeless body covered in bees,” Yeboah said.

The police in Nyinahin were promptly notified about the incident. The body of the deceased was retrieved and transported to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for preservation, while investigations into the cause of the attack are underway.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
