The Lordina Foundation, founded by former First Lady Mrs. Lordina Mahama, has inaugurated a new health center in Hohoe, Volta Region, marking its fifth healthcare facility in under two years. This achievement demonstrates the foundation’s commitment to improving healthcare accessibility across Ghana.
The foundation’s healthcare initiatives have already benefited several communities, with existing centers in Bole, Atebubu, Nkoranza South, and Nkoranza North. Plans are underway to expand its projects to other parts of the country, ensuring more communities have access to modern health facilities.
During the inauguration, Mrs. Mahama emphasized her vision to enhance infrastructure for a healthier and more equitable Ghana. This recent inauguration follows the opening of a maternity and children’s ward in Bodom, Nkoranza North District, Bono Region, which is equipped with essential amenities, including a medical officers’ room.
Additionally, Mrs. Mahama commissioned a 2,000-square-meter maternity and children’s ward at the Nkoranza Health Centre, further solidifying the foundation’s efforts to improve healthcare in Ghana.
