Renowned Ghanaian actress Nadia Buari has expressed her heartfelt condolences to the families of the two pre-teen girls who lost their lives in the tragic East Legon road accident two weeks ago.
The accident, caused by the teenage son of Bishop Elisha Salifu Amoako, founder of Alive Chapel International, has sparked widespread outrage and grief. Buari penned an emotional tribute to the victims, saying:
“I can’t believe this happened to these beautiful little girls. A future has been cut off in such a painful manner that is so difficult to come to terms with. May God keep their innocent souls in perfect peace…THE LOSS OF ANY CHILD ANYWHERE IS THE LOSS OF A FUTURE EVERYWHERE.”
As a mother of five, Buari deeply relates to the pain of the victims’ mothers. “It is too painful to remember and too painful to forgive,” she acknowledged.
Buari offered a prayer for the bereaved families: “I pray for grace to be sufficient for you in this condition. I pray for strength for the both families of the kids. I pray for healing of hurts for all involved in this painful tragedy. I pray for love and empathy for the victims and sympathy for all who may need it.”
Bishop Amoako had earlier apologized to the families of the victims, but later sparked controversy with a defensive rant, emphasizing that his son did not intentionally cause the accident.
The accident occurred when the bishop’s son, driving a Jaguar SUV, collided with a 4X4 Acura vehicle, resulting in a fire that claimed the lives of the two 12-year-old girls. The suspect driver remains hospitalized, while his parents and another individual face charges for permitting an unlicensed person to drive.
