In response to the situation, the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has issued an urgent alert to the public. They have encouraged those trapped or in need of assistance to reach out to emergency services for help.
The GNFS stated, “We advise the public to contact our control room via 192 or 030 2772446,” assuring that assistance will be dispatched promptly to affected areas.
As reports of waterlogged roads and rising water levels continue to emerge, the GNFS remains committed to supporting those affected during this rainy season. They urge the public to remain vigilant, stay indoors if possible, and seek shelter to ensure their safety amid the ongoing downpour.
