A dramatic scene unfolded in Adum, Kumasi, on Wednesday morning when a Toyota Vitz veered off course and crashed into a jewellery store, injuring one individual and causing extensive damage.
Witnesses report that the accident happened after the Vitz, with the registration number AS 3897-23, suffered a brake failure.
This mechanical mishap sent the car straight into the shop, shattering its glass facade and destroying numerous pieces of jewellery on display.
Fortunately, the store’s sales manager escaped injury by noticing the approaching vehicle in time and fleeing to safety. Sadly, a nearby resident was injured in the incident.
