The starter packs include essential tools such as cutlasses, overall coats, spray machines, wellington boots, goggles, utility hand gloves, and padtillers.
These packs will be distributed to young farmers from various regions, providing them with the necessary resources to start or expand their agricultural ventures.
Dr. Acheampong emphasized the importance of engaging young people in agriculture, citing its potential to address youth unemployment and ensure sustainable food production.
The government is committed to supporting young farmers, not only with starter packs but also with mechanization equipment such as power tillers and planters.
The National Youth Agency CEO, Mr. Kofi Agyapong, highlighted the importance of empowering young people in agriculture for food security and economic resilience.
