Death Toll From Floods in Morocco Reaches 11 as Heavy Rains Wreak Havoc

- Recent storms delivered nearly half of the region’s annual precipitation in just two days
- 24 homes destroyed, 16 partially damaged, and 93 roads affected
- Electrical grids, water supplies, and telephone networks are severely disrupted
The recent floods in southeastern Morocco have resulted in 11 fatalities, following severe rainfall.
According to reports, seven people died in Tata province, with two each in Tiznit and Errachidia.
Additionally, nine individuals remain missing across Tata, Errachidia, and Taroudant.
The heavy rainfall, which has amounted to nearly half of the region’s annual precipitation over the past two days, has caused extensive damage.
The floods have destroyed 24 homes, partially damaged 16 more, and affected 93 roads, leading to significant transportation disruptions.
Furthermore, essential services such as electrical grids, drinking water supplies, and telephone networks have been impacted.
