“Men Need to Reconsider Their Attitudes Towards Sex” – Uncle Ebo Whyte

Renowned playwright and relationship expert Uncle Ebo Whyte has sparked a new debate by asserting that women hold the true power in sexual encounters, contrary to traditional beliefs that men are the dominant party.

In a recent interview with Accra-based 3FM, Uncle Ebo Whyte argued that men’s perceived dominance is a misconception. He urged men to reconsider their attitudes towards sexual encounters and to cease boasting about their experiences.

“When a man sleeps with a woman, he tells his friends, ‘Oh, I finish am. But if you know who finished who, you will stop. You will not talk,’” Uncle Ebo Whyte said. “In any sexual encounter, the winner is not the man. It’s the woman. The man, all you did was you gave your energy, you gave your reputation, you gave opportunities. You gave all kinds of things.”

He cautioned men to maintain their self-respect and dignity, emphasizing that failure to do so could result in negative consequences. Uncle Ebo Whyte stressed the importance of self-awareness and responsible behavior to prevent compromising one’s values and integrity.

“When you understand that there’s the need for you to respect yourself, then you understand that this thing can bring you down. It can make you lose your respect and reputation like nothing else. And so be careful. An older friend of mine told me this. When you go to the forest and you find a table laid, walk away because you don’t know why the table is there,” he advised.

In addition to his thought-provoking statements, Uncle Ebo Whyte is preparing for his upcoming play, I Want To Feed You, which will be staged at the National Theatre in Accra. The play is scheduled to run on September 6, 7, 8, 13, 14, and 15, 2024. On Fridays, performances will be held at 7pm, while Saturdays will feature two shows at 4pm and 8pm. Sundays will see three showings at 1pm, 4pm, and 8pm.
