Newcastle United defender Kieran Trippier is reportedly keen to leave the club this summer in search of regular playing time.

The 33-year-old England international was an unused substitute in the Magpies’ 1-0 victory over Southampton on Saturday, finding himself behind Tino Livramento in the pecking order for the right-back position.

Trippier, who joined Newcastle from Atletico Madrid in 2022, was previously prevented from leaving the club in January amid interest from Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabia.

The defender has been linked with a reunion with Sean Dyche at Everton.

The Toffees manager, who previously managed Trippier at Burnley, has acknowledged the interest in the player but has not confirmed any concrete moves.

With Everton’s Ashley Young suspended for their upcoming match against Tottenham Hotspur, Trippier could be seen as a potential reinforcement for the Merseyside club.

The former Tottenham player has two years remaining on his contract at Newcastle and is eager to secure first-team football ahead of the upcoming season.
