Ghanaian gospel musician Esther Smith, based in the United Kingdom, recently shared a poignant story of how her song “Ma Wonsan” helped repair a troubled marriage. In an interview with Joy FM’s Kwame Dadzie on Showbiz A-Z, Esther recounted a testimony from a listener who was on the verge of divorcing his wife but found reconciliation through her music.
“One gentleman told me, ‘hey Esther, do you know that your song ‘Ma Wonsan,’ I was nearly divorcing my wife but the song brought us together,’” Esther Smith revealed.
The gospel artist emphasized that her songs are divinely inspired and undergo a process of fasting and prayer before recording to ensure they have a life-changing impact.
Currently in Ghana, Esther Smith is preparing for two major concerts. She will perform at the Bantama Pentecost Church in Kumasi on August 25, 2024, followed by another concert in Accra on August 30, 2024. The events will feature performances by notable gospel musicians including Joe Beecham, Lady Prempeh, Morris Babyface, Randy Agyemang, Adom Kiki, Noble Nketsia, Mark Anim Yirenkyi, Nana Yaw Asare, Joyce Blessing, Oware Junior, and Minister OJ.
