Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) running mate, asserted that President Akufo-Addo’s administration has surpassed all previous governments in Ghana’s history in terms of building schools and universities.

During the official launch of the Ashanti Regional NPP Campaign Working Committees and Women’s Conference in Kumasi, Dr. Prempeh praised the achievements of Akufo-Addo’s government.

He urged party members to support the NPP and its presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, for the 2024 elections.

“No other administration has embarked on the construction of 111 hospitals or built schools and universities at the scale achieved by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo,” Dr. Prempeh emphasized. He also noted the government’s record in employing over 200,000 nurses and doctors, as well as teachers. He highlighted the administration’s response to crises, including providing free food, light, and water during times of intense hardship and the pandemic.

Dr. Prempeh also mentioned the significant increase in the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) program, which now benefits about 300,000 people. He concluded by expressing confidence that Dr. Bawumia, when elected, will build upon these achievements, commending President Akufo-Addo’s accomplishments in the process.
