Trump did not give a speech but listened to several speeches, including one from his running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, whose selection was announced earlier that day.Other speakers at the convention included Sean O’Brien, head of the Teamsters labor union, and Amber Rose, a model and rapper who described her journey towards supporting Trump.

The convention also saw the formal nomination of Trump as the Republican presidential candidate through a roll call vote.
