The water projects, distributed across all electoral areas in the Bawku Municipality, are expected to contribute to the realization of Sustainable Development Goal 6, ensuring access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Access to clean water has long been a significant challenge in the Bawku Municipality, exacerbated by the prolonged conflict in the region. Despite efforts by the central government to restore peace, the area has continued to face challenges in accessing basic necessities like water.

Mr. Ayariga, determined to address this issue, embarked on a mission to drill hand pump boreholes, providing residents with a reliable source of clean water.
