Galaxy’s Paintsil Back In Action, Coach Sees Room For Improvement
- Paintsil returned from a muscle injury
- Paintsil missed a key scoring opportunity
- Vanney acknowledged this in a post-game interview
Los Angeles Galaxy winger Joseph Paintsil returned from a muscle injury and played the full game in their recent 2-1 victory over Minnesota United.
However, despite his full participation, Paintsil missed a key scoring opportunity.
Head Coach Greg Vanney acknowledged this in a post-game interview, but offered a positive outlook. He noted that Paintsil’s overall fitness seems to be back, but his finishing at high speed needs some sharpening.
Vanney pointed out that Paintsil is “in good spots” and expressed confidence that his finishing will improve as he regains his full sharpness.
