“Respect to Sarkodie, But He Is Not The Best Rapper In Ghana” – Big Joe Frazier
- Big Joe Frazier names Obrafour, Lord Kenya, and Reggie Rockstone as the best rappers in Ghana
- He praises their talent and stage performance, saying they set a higher standard
- Frazier believes Sarkodie will eventually be recognized as a pioneer, but veteran rappers are superior
In a recent interview on Hitz FM, musician Big Joe Frazier openly disagreed with Okyeame Kwame’s assertion that Sarkodie is the greatest rapper of all time in Ghana. While expressing his respect for Sarkodie’s talent, Frazier argued that veteran rappers Obrafour, Lord Kenya, and Reggie Rockstone have made more significant contributions to the rap genre in Ghana.
“Though I respect Sarkodie, I think the likes of Obrafour, Lord Kenya, and Reggie Rockstone are the best based on their talent and stage performance,” Frazier stated.
He praised Obrafour’s unmatched stage presence, Lord Kenya’s unforgettable stage craft, and Reggie Rockstone’s rap skills and consistent success.
While acknowledging Sarkodie’s success and relevance in the industry, Frazier maintained that the foundational work and performances of these veteran rappers set a higher standard.
However, he believes Sarkodie will eventually be recognized as one of the pioneers of contemporary rap music in the near future.
