Legendary American actor and WWE star John Cena has revealed his plans to retire from professional wrestling in 2025. Cena made the announcement during the WWE Money in the Bank event in Toronto, Canada, confirming his final appearances will take place at the 2025 Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas.

Dubbed the “John Cena Farewell Tour 2025,” the 16-time world champion reflected on his two-decade career with the WWE. “I’ve seen incredible waves of prosperity like we have right now. WWE is the hottest ticket in town, no doubt, but I have also seen true hardship, that’s when no one knows your name, nobody wants to be your friend, and only the most dedicated and hardcore fans stand by your side,” Cena said.

Cena expressed his desire to be involved in the transition of Raw to Netflix in January. He first entered the WWE scene in 2002 but has taken on a less full-time role since 2018 to focus on his acting projects.
