Ghana’s Minister for Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif, has announced that hosting the 13th African Games has significantly upgraded the country’s sports infrastructure and boosted its reputation as a premier destination for international sports events in Africa.
In his report to Parliament on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, Ussif highlighted the successful outcomes of the African Games, emphasizing that the government’s investment in sports infrastructure has positioned Ghana as a top choice for hosting international sports events on the continent.
He also revealed that there has been a surge in requests from organizations seeking to host events in Ghana following the Games’ conclusion.
