Prempeh College Wins Robofest World Championship, Minister Applauds “Ghanaian Talent”

Ghana’s Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, celebrated Prempeh College’s victory at the Robofest World Championships’ Unknown Mission Challenge (UMC) 2024 held in the US.
He praised the students, saying, “You’ve done incredibly well, making Africa proud. We have some of the world’s best talents. We are disciplined and focused, and this win reinforces my belief in Ghanaian students.”
Dr. Adutwum received the students alongside the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and hailed their accomplishment as a testament to Ghana’s flourishing education system.
He encouraged them to maintain their dedication by studying more and urged them to “shape their future dreams” by taking advantage of the government’s educational investments.
The Headmaster, Very Rev. Lewis Asare, credited the win to the combined efforts of students, staff, and the exceptional coaching of Mr. Kwame Owusu Opoku and his Robotics Team.
He pledged to continue providing excellent training to ensure academic success while nurturing valuable skills relevant to future careers.
The Minister further demonstrated his support by donating GHS10,000 towards the team’s preparation for the next competition.
