A disturbing incident has been reported in Assin Odunkrom, Assin South District, Central Region, where a young farmer, known as Kobby, allegedly defiled two 3-year-old girls.
According to Esi Boah, mother of one of the victims, the children were playing on the suspect’s veranda during rainfall when he took advantage of their parents’ absence and sexually assaulted them.
The mother’s instincts led her to search for the children in the suspect’s room, where she found him half-naked with his penis erected. The suspect fled the scene and has been in hiding since.
Further questioning of the children revealed that the suspect had inserted his penis into their vaginas, anus, and mouth.
Esi Boah has appealed to the Central North Regional Police Commander, DCOP Emmanuel Teye Kudjo, and the District Commander, ASP Robert Kyeremeh, to arrest the perpetrator and ensure justice is served.
The Assin South District Commander confirmed receiving a defilement complaint and assured that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect. The victims have been issued a medical form to receive hospital treatment.
This is a tragic incident that has shocked the community, and the police are urged to take swift action to bring the perpetrator to justice.
