A tragic car accident involving Ghanaian actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, claimed the life of a three-year-old boy last Saturday.
The young victim, identified as Nana Yaw, was a passenger in a vehicle struck by Lil Win’s car in the congested area of Amakom in Kumasi.
Witnesses at the scene alleged that Lil Win was driving at excessive speed, heightening the severity of the collision. Both Nana Yaw and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah, were rushed to a nearby medical facility and later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Tragically, Nana Yaw succumbed to his injuries, while his father continues to receive medical care.
Family members of the deceased are demanding a thorough investigation by the authorities to ensure accountability and justice. They expressed concerns over the treatment of victims at the accident site, emphasizing the need for fair attention to all affected parties.
Reports indicate that Lil Win sustained injuries in the crash and was captured in a video being assisted into another vehicle.
His branded Mercedes-Benz, which was severely damaged in the incident, attested to the severity of the collision. Eyewitnesses, supported by police sources, purported that Lil Win was behind the wheel during the accident.
Despite the tragedy, Lil Win attended the premiere of his movie “A Country Called Ghana” later that same evening in Kumasi.
His management team, present at the hospital, refrained from commenting on the incident when approached by the media.
