A 46-year-old farmer, Francis Asamoah, popularly known as Yaawi, has been found dead in a bush at Kwasibenkrom in the Bethlehem Electoral Area.

According to his wife, Georgina Ofori, the deceased had gone to the farm to plant maize two days prior, but failed to return home. She stated, “I was preparing food for him at home while he was at the farm. After finishing, I went to the farm but couldn’t find him. We searched the entire farmland together with the neighbors but couldn’t locate him.”

The search continued the following day, with the entire community mobilizing to search the surrounding bush, where the body was eventually discovered. The police were notified, and the body was taken to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for further investigation.

Georgina Ofori confirmed the incident to the media, expressing shock and grief over the sudden loss of her husband. The cause of death is yet to be determined, pending further investigation by the authorities.
