A helicopter was completely destroyed by fire after crashing into a tree at Adansi Brofoyedu in the Ashanti Region on the morning of Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

The aircraft, which reportedly operates on the Accra–Obuasi route every Wednesday, went down under unclear circumstances.

Speaking to Adom FM’s Kasiebo Is Tasty, local Assembly Member Matthew Baah confirmed the incident, stating that he was on his farm when he received a distress call.

“After the crash, everything went quiet. When residents arrived at the scene, the helicopter was already in flames,” he recalled.

Preliminary reports suggest four people may have been on board, as severely damaged human remains were discovered at the site. However, the victims’ identities have not yet been verified.

Although the cause of the crash is still under investigation, Mr. Baah mentioned that poor weather conditions might have played a role.
