Unreleased Beyoncé Music Stolen in Atlanta Car Break-In

- Theft occurred on July 8, two days before Beyoncé’s Atlanta tour stop
- Vehicle belonged to Beyoncé’s choreographer and dancer
- Authorities used tracking data and fingerprints to aid investigation
Unreleased music by Beyoncé was among several items stolen from a vehicle in Atlanta just days before her four-night Cowboy Carter tour stop in the city, authorities have confirmed.
According to a police report, hard drives containing unreleased songs, tour setlists, and show plans were taken from a rental vehicle used by Beyoncé’s choreographer, Christopher Grant, and dancer Diandre Blue. The theft occurred on July 8, two days before her first Atlanta concert.
Grant and Blue told police they had parked their rented black Jeep Wagoneer near a food hall. When they returned, the rear window had been shattered and two suitcases were missing.
Among the stolen items were five USB drives holding watermarked and unreleased music, video footage, past and future show plans, and setlists. A laptop, designer clothing, and Apple AirPods were also reported stolen.
Authorities are using tracking data from the laptop and AirPods to trace the items’ movement. Fingerprint dusting revealed two faint prints, but it is unclear if any of the stolen items have been recovered.
An arrest warrant has been issued, though the suspect’s name has not been released. The BBC has reached out to Beyoncé’s team for comment.
Beyoncé began her Atlanta shows on July 10, with the final performance scheduled for Monday night. Her husband, Jay Z, made a surprise appearance during the third show.
Choreographer Grant has also worked with artists like Shakira, while Blue recently appeared with Beyoncé in her 2024 Super Bowl commercial, which previewed music from her Cowboy Carter album.
