Former Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover has strongly criticized ex-Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, labeling him as the “worst IGP” when it comes to handling election security.

In an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show, Titus-Glover referenced incidents of violence during the 2024 general elections, alleging that police officers were rendered powerless due to a lack of clear directives from the IGP.

“During the 2024 elections, there was widespread violence, allegedly driven by the NDC. Officers at the regional command told me they couldn’t act without orders from Dampare,” he stated.

He further argued that the police’s failure to respond in critical moments led to chaos, property damage, and increased insecurity in various areas.

His comments come amid growing public concern over electoral violence, particularly following recent unrest during the Ablekuma North parliamentary rerun.
