ECG Urges Customers to Prepare for Outage

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced that it will conduct scheduled maintenance works in selected areas of the Greater Accra Region on Monday, July 14, 2025, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance power service reliability.

According to a public notice issued on Saturday, July 12, the maintenance will take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., during which power supply to the affected communities will be temporarily interrupted.

The areas expected to experience the outage include Tunga Down, Dunyo, Mayera, Abedi Pele, Satellite, GHS Housing, New Bortianor, Red Top, East Legon, Ministry of Energy Residence, Gasemany House, Teshie Camp 2, Tebibianor, Tseaddo Roundabout, and surrounding neighborhoods.

“ECG regrets any inconvenience this may cause,” the statement said.

Residents in the affected zones are encouraged to take note of the scheduled interruption and make necessary preparations to reduce disruption to their daily routines.

This planned activity is part of ECG’s broader initiative to strengthen its power distribution network and ensure more efficient service delivery nationwide.
